I 1st went to the cellar on Halloween night 1970. It was a Sat and I was 15. Never forget it. I was hooked and became a Cellar Rat Dweller for another 3 years until I went in the Navy in Dec of 73. Came back from boot camp around Feb of 74 and went to the Cellar one last time before going overseas for 2 years. A waitress I had gone to Haltom with named Nancy had just started working there. Came back form overseas and it was history. I'll never forget the night the Haggers were there on the cusions (those two hokey twins on Hee-Haw)

I worked at Southwestern BeLL Telephone, 1959-61, Some of us girls would get off work, and go over to The Cellar, Cushions on the floor .. big ole smoky bar.. Pat Kirkwood .. I had investigated a Large amount bill .. that Pat had at his home .. and he personally invited myself. charlotte,sue over to hang out .. so we started to go over for quite awhile .. I personally got invited to Sign the wall .. He was a Gentle yet Diverse Man, He was a Good Man in his own rights .. Stern when he had to be, Carolyn .

Man i cant believe i found this web site!Im a old cellar deweller.I played the early set for about two years.It was 1970 & 71.Man those were the days.I played with a band called the Axas.The band members were Scott Bass drums,Ronnie Willis on guitar,Joe Angeles on Bass,and my self on guitar.I remember Butch was the manager John Nitzinger was playing there at the time.If any body can remember us,E mail me at manx1@sbcglobal.net.I would like to hear from you.

Hey Arvel,just wanted to say hello,sure miss the Ft.Worth joint!We had alot of fun nites,tell Mark that my son just went to state playing berry-sax,(started out on alto,but changed over)

I am Dahrell Norris' youngest daughter. was just on the phone with my dad this Christmas day. Just a casual chat, I told him I was going to google him to see what came up. Lo and behold there is a photo taken in 1967 (the year my sister was born). Anyway, he is taking a break from paying due to a health setback, and he's been living outside of Albuquerque for two years now. Anyway, I told him about the sit and he said, ''I hadn't heard of that guy in a long time!' Thought I'd post. he's doing well. Same bent sense of humor. Merry Christmas!
